How many times have you heard that the best things in life come free? Well, cliches are cliches cos they make sense each time! And nothing else fits better.
Have you ever admired a pebble on a river bank, rounded to perfection by the river's fickle waves? Or have you observed a monarch butterfly, fluttering about with flames in its wings? Or the time you just sat on a swing, surrounded by beautiful plants, swaying along with the gentle zephyr with a songbird for company? Sounds poetic? Well, thats what these things do to you. Even idiots become poetic.
Nature does have these treasures. But sometimes other things have the same quality too. Like the gratitude you experience when you wake up and realize you still have an hour to sleep! Or the sudden declaration of a holiday! Or the loud peals of laughter you and your equally boisterous friend just cannot control right in the midst of a really austere environment! Or even the time you gaze into the vastness of the ocean with that someone special, under a starry sky. These things are real. And these are the things that make you smile, these are the things you remember when you look back. So spend more of your time on these things.
Spend time finding these small moments, spend an equal amount of time reliving them, cos these are your true treasures.. something nooone can take away from you.
Maybe i sound like i have a pair of rose tinted glasses on.
Happiness is a state we all want to achieve. But the very concept is surely lost on someone who cannot find contentment, peace, pleasure, any of these or all of these in any of the things around him/her. You just have to search....with the right pair of glasses!

There are early risers...
...and then there is me! I cannot even begin to describe the sense of ecstacy, the sheer delight that fills the deep recesses of my heart when I hear an 8 a.m class has been permanently rescheduled to 10 a.m!! What luxury! Earlier I would jolt into awakedness from my drugged comatose state of slumber at 7:53, realize i have a class at 8, swear like anything and rush like there's no tomorrow to sneak into the class unnoticed. Now I can do the very same thing at 9:53!!! Amazing, isn't it?

re'Dress'al
Who really cares if Malaika Arora Khan repeats the dress she wore to some stupid no-brainer movie’s premiere for another stupid no-brainer movie’s premiere?? I was just reading a write up on how tough it is for these belles in the limelight to never repeat a dress they’ve worn before in public! What a waste! They spend thousands on designer dresses only to stow them away after that one 2-hour event : never to see the light of the day or the disco lights of the night again! Indeed tough! Why should the media talk of and notice such things anyway? Being a woman, I do want to be fair and say, yes, women are the reason for this. Cos frankly a guy wouldn’t care if u repeated the dress as long as u looked hot! So then, I plead to all you womenfolk to quit doing this. Let the poor girl repeat what she wants to repeat.
You too, Brutus?
People say I'm too laid back about issues. And that is my problem. No strong opinion on any topic, or is there?
Amartya Sen says Prolixity is not alien to us in India! How very true! Everyone in this world, let alone India, wants to be heard, everyone has an opinion. My point is: Why should anybody else be interested in what you have to say, unless you are promising them a lifetime supply of chocolate brownie with ice cream at the end of it?????????
Well apparently, there are loads of people out there who have no better work, including moi! Blogging is cool : there is no compulsion of sticking to 200 words, or write it in 10 minutes like in a school essay; there is no fixed topic; nobody grades you on this; and heck, u may decide to delete the damn blog one fine morning when everything looks plain crappy! Also, you are looked upon as a computer literate, tech savvy person who writes well!! (Pooh!!! I don't fit any of those!!! Hahaha!) So, Voila, I too jumped on the blogwagon! I'm trying to brand myself! (Its called deception!)
